PUSHING LIMITS, CHASING DREAMS - THE ULTIMATE 100 - Miler

The most demanding race of the Jahorina's trail spectacle starts at Prijevor, in the heart of the Maglic moutain, across Trnovačko jezero, Volujak, and Lebršnik mountains, from which beautiful views of Tjentište, Sutjeska, Bioč and Zelengora are displayed. The route of the 160-kilometer long race crosses the highest and most demanding mountains of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the alpine landscape and, therefore, is intended for participants with the best, previous track results, behind which are hidden the greatest efforts and immeasurable trail experience.

ROUTE DESCRIPTION

FIRST SECTION (START - PL. DOM “VOLUJAK”)

The race starts from Prijevor, following a steep mountain trail at the foot of the highest peak in BiH, Maglić. The first section is rocky and crosses smaller screes. The race continues on a mountain trail leading to the "Suha Jezerina" valley, where the terrain is earthy and flat.

After "Suha Jezerina," runners face the first climb through a forest to the Trnovčko Lake, where there is a source of drinking water. The race then continues with a gentle and short ascent to the Rudinske huts. This is the last flat section before a long and steep climb to the "Bojanska Vrata" and the peak "Vlasulja."

At the end of the valley where the huts are located, a steep climb begins along a mountain trail over scree, followed by a demanding climb over grassy terrain towards the pass below "Bojanska Vrata."

The route continues along the ridge with a gentle descent to "Bojanska Vrata," through a combination of grassy and rocky terrain.

After crossing "Bojanska Vrata," a climb follows along a mountain trail to the highest peak of the Volujak massif, "Vlasulja."

The climb is demanding but not excessively long. After that, a descent down Volujak follows, on a well-marked mountain trail to the first aid station of the race - Pl. dom Volujak. It is important to note that there is a source of drinking water on the descent down Volujak.

Markings in this section are a combination of wooden posts and fluorescent spray for the rocky parts of the route.

SECOND SECTION (PL. DOM "VOLUJAK" - "ČEMERNO" - "ŠIPOVICA")

After the aid station, participants face a climb to Lebršnik. The climb is moderately demanding, leading mostly over grassy terrain interspersed with rocky sections. The race continues along the ridge of Lebršnik for about 10 km, then descends partially on a gravel road to the Čemerno settlement where there is also an aid station. The race continues with a gentle ascent over grassy meadows, followed by a section combining a gravel road and forest terrain all the way to the "Šipovica" aid station, suitable for running.

Markings in this section are a combination of posts, ribbons, and spray.

THIRD SECTION ("ŠIPOVICA" - "ZIMOMOR")

From the Šipovica station at 1410 m above sea level, the route leaves the gravel road uphill slightly to the left, following a rural road to a steep climb to the peaks of Zelengora. After a steep climb, the route reaches an open, slightly undulating plateau without forest. This section of the route is dynamic and undulating. The surface is grassy-rocky. After crossing the undulating terrain rich in sinkholes, you reach the peak "Klek," where a nice and gentle descent down the valley to the first life station "Zimomor" begins.

Markings in this section are posts combined with spray.

FOURTH SECTION ("ZIMOMOR" - KLADOPOLJSKO LAKE)

After the "Zimomor" life station, the route continues along a gravel road above Kotlaničko Lake over relatively flat terrain, circling around Štirinsko Lake. This is one of the most attractive parts of the route, and we advise you to stop for a moment and take in the magical view. After the gravel road ends, a well-trodden mountain trail follows. After circling the lake, the route climbs from 1680 m to a pass at 1800 m, then descends steeply into a flatter section, ending at the "Kladopoljsko" aid station. The terrain is soft and grassy. The descent is rocky, suitable for walking. Pay attention to safe movement until descending into the valley.

Markings in this section are posts.

FIFTH SECTION (KLADOPOLJSKO - "JAŽIĆI")

This section leads over "Vučija Brda" to the descent from Zelengora. The first part of the route is a climb lasting 4 km, with grassy terrain. After the climb, a descent to a gravel road follows, leading to the "Jažići" aid station, located in an abandoned military complex near Kalinovik. The terrain is suitable for running.

Markings in this section are a combination of posts, spray, and ribbons.

 SIXTH SECTION ("JAŽIĆI" - "BOLJANOVIĆI")

This section begins with a climb from the barracks, leading over mostly rocky terrain with patches of grass, through sinkholes above "Gvozno Polje," then continues over similar terrain to a forest depot. From the depot, the route continues along a steep forest path to the "Boljanovići" aid station.

Markings are a combination of ribbons, posts, and spray.

SEVENTH SECTION ("BOLJANOVIĆI" - "RUNOLIST")

From the second and last life station, the race continues along a steep gravel road, where at 96 km, it branches off and starts a climb to Treskavica from 1100 m to 1670 m below Lupoč, then descends to a meadow at 1500 m, where it joins a mountain trail followed by a gentle ascent to Kozja Luka at 1570 m. After that, the route continues along the valley, following a well-trodden and clearly visible mountain trail to Veliko Lake - circling it, then continuing. After a gentle ascent to the "Runolist" aid station, the route continues through a forest along a well-marked mountain trail, and in one section, it exits onto a steep gravel road where the "Runolist" aid station is located.

Markings in this section are posts, spray, and ribbons.

EIGHTH SECTION ("RUNOLIST" - "BAŠCI" - "MEĐUPLANINA")

From the "Runolist" aid station, participants face a gravel descent to the "Kazani" area, where a gentle ascent through the forest begins. This continues to Trnovo, and from there, a gentle ascent follows along a forest road to the "Bašci" aid station. The route continues to 1 km from Delijaš, from where a 700 m gravel descent follows. Then, a steep climb to Zabojska leads to the "Međuplanina" aid station. From this aid station, the route continues along the Jahorina ridge.

NINTH SECTION ("MEĐUPLANINA" - FINISH)

The route continues over meadows below the peak "Bič," following well-trodden paths suitable for running without major ascents and descents to below the peak "Košuta," where it descends gently from 1800 m to 1690 m. After that, a climb follows to the peak Sjenište, following a gravel road to below the peak, then continues without major ascents and descents to the climb to Ogorjelica from 1800 m to 1900 m, after which a descent follows to the finish at Poljice. The entire section from "Međuplanina" to "Ogorjelica" stretches outside the forest over the meadow complexes of "Gola Jahorina" and is suitable for running. From Ogorjelica, the route follows the Poljice ski trails, descending to the finish at Poljice.
